These Fairfax homeowners partnered with Schroeder to convert their existing carport into an enclosed garage that integrates seamlessly with the home’s architecture.​

Design Solution

To create the necessary space, the structure was extended 12 feet outward, requiring a reconfiguration of the roofline and careful structural planning. Because the home sits near a slope, engineering and site preparation were essential to ensure long-term stability.

The new garage was seamlessly incorporated into the front porch, with close attention paid to maintaining the character of the existing home. Premium insulated vinyl siding, coordinated trim work, and a new roof were selected to create a cohesive, finished look.

Our design team developed the plans, and through collaboration with our sister company, Curb Appeal Exterior, the homeowners were able to visualize key details, like columns and trim, helping them feel confident in how everything would come together.
